Oh Jake, you look like your father, you are built like your father, and you act like your father. But I know you are truly my son because you have a love of chocolate like no other child I have ever seen!
Two days ago Emma brought Jake into my room and said, “Mama, you know what I caught him doing? He was out on the back porch with the container of Ovaltine eating it by the spoonful!” Had it been the first time he had done it I may have found it cute but since it is an ongoing, every day occurrence I was annoyed instead of overwhelmed by the adorable smile that was spread across his chocolate covered face.

Still, it’s hard to get too mad at him when I understand his love of chocolate. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t crave at least a tiny bit. I don’t always eat chocolate but I completely and thoroughly understand why he’d risk getting in trouble to get to that sweet goodness.
Today I decided to not get mad and instead just take pictures and then laugh and remember that there won’t always be a time when he feels the need to guzzle chocolate straight from a bottle!
I’m not sure what I am going to do with him. He’s a handful already without his constant chocolate escapades!
