Celebrate with an Oreo Trifle

Today we celebrate Caroline’s birthday with an Oreo Trifle. While I was at the store getting the ingredients, the woman checking out in front of me asked me what I was making. After I told her she asked me if I had a facebook page or a website where she could find it. I hadn’t planned on posting about it but really, who doesn’t love a trifle?

So without further delay, here is a photo heavy post on how to make the most delicious Oreo Trifle you will ever eat! Oh, and it’s super simple and quick too!

First gather your ingredients.

Make the cake according to the directions, let it cool, and then cut into cubes.

Make your pudding according to the directions as well and put in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

Assemble your ingredients to begin building your trifle.

Begin by layering your cake cubes on bottom. Don’t be gentle, cram as many in there as you can!

The next layer is your Oreo pudding. Smother the cake cubes with the pudding!

Next cover the pudding with whipped cream (I chose packaged kind but you can either make fresh or any variety you want).

Repeat the layers. In the end I had three complete layers.

Line the outside of your trifle with Oreo cookies.

Last, sprinkle the top with crushed oreos and voila!

We have made trifles in so many different ways. We have done chocolate cake with chocolate pudding and chocolate chips; with toffee chips; with brownies instead of cake; and with white cake, banana pudding, and bananas! They are all delicious!  If you decide to try this out, let me know how you liked it. If you have a different version, we’d love to hear about it and try it out.
